Turtle Patrol at Ft. Pickens

It was a beautiful day at Ft. Pickens and a far cry from the scene this time last week. The air was cool and dry like an autumn day. The wind was out of the north, flattening the surf. Tropical Storm Claudette cut into the beach in places, creating small tidal pools like the one above -- which the birds are tremendously enjoying.

Thanks so much for posting this wonderful video. I spend most of the month of October on Pensacola Beach. I walk towards and into Gulf Island National Seashore each morning. I hope to be living down here within the next two years. I read your posts each day and they help me to stay sane and think south throughout the year. Gaylynn

That's great, Gaylynn! I counted the time also before we moved here full time, so I know how you feel. I firmly believe in visualizing your goals!

Til you are here again, I'll keep you up to date with the ever-changing beauty of our little paradise.
