Art & Wine Weekend

We are gearing up for our first Art & Wine Weekend on Pensacola Beach which starts tomorrow! There is a long list of Chamber-affiliated businesses participating. Free rides from venue to venue will be available via Beach Bum Trolley, courtesy of the Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce. Below is a list of the venues and artists by location:


Along Pensacola Beach Boulevard:

Surf Burger - An Island Kid's Kiosk will be set up with activities for the kids.

Bamboo Willie's - For the kids, Bamboo Willie's will be offering their famous Kid's Island Blow Pop drink, guaranteed to turn your tongue blue. Featured artist: Bill Strength, photographer.

Hemingway's Island Grill - Featured artist: Brandon Delles, painter & caricaturist; Jim Andrews, saxophone player, will be performing Saturday afternoon only. Wine tasting.

Lee Tracy (on the Boardwalk) - Featured artist: Anne McLaughlin, jewelry.

Levin-Rinke Resort Realty (on the Boardwalk) - Featured Artists: Sonya Evans, southern-themed painter; Barbara De Nunzio, jewelry. Wine tasting.

Flounders Chowder House - Wine tasting.

Island Style - Featured artists: Charlie Knight with Palm Tiki woodcarvings; Delores Martin, weddings and portrait photographer; Randy Hamilton, photographer.

The Sandshaker - Featured artists: Russian artist Konstantyn Sylin; James Freeman, Tiki carver. Wine tasting.


On Ft. Pickens Road
:

Peg Leg Pete's - Featured artists: Anita Miller, oil painter; Nelson O. Ottenhausen, local author; Jennifer Morgan, painter.


Casino Beach:

The Dock - Featured artist: Jeff Wheelock, Wood Coastal Carvings.

Crab's, we got 'em - Featured artist: Kathy Waggoner, home decor using seashells collected at Pensacola Beach. Wine tasting.

Tiki Island Golf & Games - Featured artists: Pat McAbee, jewelry; Joe Hobbs, glass artist. Drinks for kids!



Along Via de Luna Drive:

Paradise Bar & Grill - Featured artist: J.C. Nowlin, watercolors and pastels. Wine tasting.

ERA Beach Ball Realty - Featured artist: Christine Chandler. Wine tasting.

The Islander - Featured artist: Julie Najjar, abstract artist. Wine tasting.

Native Cafe - Randy McMikken, graphite artist; Jon Winslow, acrylics painter; Connie Carrigan, acrylics painter; Jim Smith, photographer; Arin Brown, photographer; Jamie McMikken, oil painter; Lisa Coppersmith, acrylics painter; James Macaluso, photographer; Joyce Brown, stained glass artist; Linda Bunnel, painter; Terry Kasmia, painter. Wine tasting.

Island Realty - Featured artists: Sisters of the Beach, various arts; Mousie, famous New Orleans poster artist and caricaturist, as well as musician; D.J. Zemenick, Barrier Island Girl Photography (but you knew that, right?!). Also, the group FEWgrass will be performing their 'earth music' on Saturday only from 12 - 3 p.m.

Paddy O'Leary's - Featured artist: Mary Bedard, jewelry, handmade soaps and flowers.

Geronimo's Outpost - Featured artist: Sherry Starling, jewelry. Wine tasting.

Hopefully, folks will come out and join us on Saturday (11 a.m. - 5 p.m., though most media sources today listed the opening at 10:00 a.m.) and Sunday (noon to 5:00 p.m.). Enjoy a leisurely day riding the trolley up and down the beach to visit all the artists and, of course, come by and say hello to me!
