At last, the waves are calming down and looking more like normal for Pensacola Beach.
The red flag still flies and a lifeguard keeps a close watch on beachgoers.
It's nice to get out today and back into a normal routine. Locals know the heartbreak which people along the Texas coast are facing this morning and our thoughts are with them.

I just wanted to thank you for your beautiful pictures and the blogs. I to am a Pensacola Beach lover. I don't get to visit as much as I want so your pictures and blogs make me feel much better.
