2009 Nauga Champagne Breakfast

The 2009 Nauga Champagne Breakfast was quite the success and much money was raised for the Pensacola Humane Society.

Folks showed up in their favorite 'jammies - some even toting their favorite bed-time cuddles.

"Hey lady! Throw me some beads!"

Well-known and loved New Orleans poster artist, Mousie, created a beautiful print specifically for the Nauga event and had limited edition prints available.

I was as interested in the slippers as the 'jammies and captured a shot of Kermit...

And Twitty Bird...

And even a couple of Flamingoes!

A very sweet moment was when Lazarus, the mastiff which was rescued by neighbors after being buried alive a couple of years ago, won a special Nauga Dawga award. You may click on the photo to enlarge and see him more closely.

Here's a photo of his new 'parents' who say Lazarus is a happy and well-adjusted doggie now. What lovely folks. Thank you for bringing love and kindness into this poor little fellow's life

There's a birthday girl on the left and I bet she thought this party was just for her!

Ms. Bobbie was having a wonderful time. Doesn't she have the sweetest smile?

Lots of face paint and glitter were everywhere.

A Nauga Dawga reminder!

"My 'B.I.G.' mama says I can't go to the Nauga party tomorrow, so here I sit...all dressed up with no place to go. I even brought out last year's Nauga ears that I hid behind the bed, but she won't budge!

"She said I could be on her blog again to remind you the Nauga Champagne Breakfast starts at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning at The Dock and you have to wear pajamas. It only costs $15.00 for humans, and they get breakfast, new Nauga ears, and all kinds of good stuff. So go to the party...and think about me. All dressed up. No place to go..."

Mardi Gras time!

Even my little P-pup is gearing up for Mardi Gras time on Pensacola Beach, so get out your calendar and make note of your favorite events.

The Krewe of Nauga Champagne Breakfast will be at The Dock this Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Don't forget to wear your favorite 'jammies for this event! Tickets are $15.00 at the door and you will receive not only champagne and a great buffet breakfast (duh, it's the Nauga's Champagne Breakfast), but your own set of Nauga ears, party favors, and a chance to participate in their silent auction.
