Close shot of a panicle atop the graceful sea oats.
It's wonderful to see sea oats coming back again. These photos were taken on my morning walk, but they are spectacular in the evening when backlit by a sunset.

I remember years and years ago...30 years ago so many sea oats on Pensacola Beach and big sand dunes. I miss how the beach looked back when were little...there were so many of the little cottages and not any of the highrises and big hotels....those were the days.
Yep, I agree with Sandy. (Hi Sandy). The pictures on my blog (and yours) of the beach area are beautiful but also sad. One of them on my site that shows many buidling used to be nothing but a long stretch of beach with a beatup old bar there. That bar had the BEST hamburgers too. I wish I could remember what the name of that place was. Dawn
My name is D.J. A few years ago I moved to one of the most beautiful places in the world--Pensacola Beach, Florida. I love exploring the beach, documenting its changes with my photos, volunteering to help our sea turtles, attending concerts on the beach in the summer, and participating in many of the events we have throughout the year. I also enjoy sharing my photographs with you so that you can appreciate the beauty of our very special island.
