I decided to swing by the pier on my way home this morning just to see if they had a problem with June grass washing up there also.
Yep!

Your beautiful photographs bring back memories of many summers spent on Santa Rosa island when I was younger. Can you tell me where exactly this pier is? I remember one near Ft. Pickens, but this looks like a different one.
This is the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier which is located at Casino Beach in the core area of our beach community. I believe it was after Hurricane Ivan in 2004 that it had to be rebuilt.
Thanks, Walt. Check out the photos of all the June grass I saw this morning down at Ft. Pickens. Yuck! Still, we live in a beautiful place. I'll be glad when it's back to normal!
My name is D.J. A few years ago I moved to one of the most beautiful places in the world--Pensacola Beach, Florida. I love exploring the beach, documenting its changes with my photos, volunteering to help our sea turtles, attending concerts on the beach in the summer, and participating in many of the events we have throughout the year. I also enjoy sharing my photographs with you so that you can appreciate the beauty of our very special island.

I enjoy your photo journal of Pcola Beach. I'll have to get out of the house earlier. I'm missing the show. Walt
