I can't believe this is the fourth anniversary of my Barrier Island Girl blog! With a few exceptions during family emergencies, I've been at it consistently the whole time. My blog viewers have been supportive, encouraging, and kind.
I have met many special people and learned more than I thought possible. The only thing I would do differently about the blog is the name -- I'm a bit long in the tooth (old) to be identified as Barrier Island Girl! Still, it is what it is and even when I'm 70, I will feel like a barrier island girl on this special, beautiful island which heals the spirit and leaves you feeling blessed.

I too celebrate an anniversary today..
Four years ago found me traversing this beautiful country from Panama City Florida, heading towards my new home in Denver Colorado!
For me, I am so lucky to have the best of both worlds!
And it was about the same time that I stumbled upon this blog which served as a lifeline to my beloved native soil..Pensacola Beach! In the package deal blossomed a beautiful friendship with the neatest transplant from Tennessee..
DJ.. I salute you for the wonderful blog..and I thank you for your wonderful friendship!!
Happy Anniversary to us both!!!
Thank you so much, Lou!

I also love the name - even at 70 it will still fit perfectly!
DJ,
We thank you for your blog as it allows our family to get through the cold winter in WV while we become even more exicited to travel to Pensacola each year. As always, we are blessed to be able to visit with you and Dad on the island.
We will see you soon!!!
Much love,
Joe, Sarah, Mariah, and Derek
