- My name is D.J. A few years ago I moved to one of the most beautiful places in the world--Pensacola Beach, Florida. I love exploring the beach, documenting its changes with my photos, volunteering to help our sea turtles, attending concerts on the beach in the summer, and participating in many of the events we have throughout the year. We are still in the process of rebuilding after the hurricanes and tropical storms of 2004 & 2005. The residential areas and much of the commercial core are kicking into gear and rebuilding. We are also in the process of renourishing our beaches. Consequently we are still a bit ragged around the edges, but there is nowhere I'd rather be.
There is so much beauty on our island and that is what I photograph. If you have any questions, please go to my profile and e-mail me. I love this island and I hope you have as wonderful a visit as I experience every day.
Don't forget to visit the Market on the Island, especially around sunset! There is a beautiful view over the marina and across the street. I love to go there every day or so. (And you may get a deal on their black angus steaks by mid-afternoon if you plan to grill).
