Since my return from Texas on Sunday, the island has been covered with dense fog for most of each day and night. Wouldn't you know I had a dentist appointment this afternoon, just about the time it finally began to move out!
I grabbed my camera and took off for the beach just as the sun was setting. Ahhh...so peaceful.

One thing I really appreciated about Pensacola (and other cities along the gulf coast): it's one of the few places you can watch the sunrise and sunset on the same beach. On the east or west coasts, you only have one or the other, not both. Another great shot!
