Short break

I'm going to be taking a short break from my blog-- hopefully just a few days. I'm heading out the door at the end of this post for Andrews Institute to have my knee 'scoped.

I scheduled the procedure for after turtle patrol season and a couple weeks of company and travel. The physician's assistant said they've had patients who requested waiting until after deer season or turkey season, but 'turtle season' was a first. :-)

A note to friends and family, I won't have access to my computer and e-mails for a while since I'll be separated from the office by a flight of stairs. That alone will inspire me to rehab quickly...or get a laptop!

Wish me luck!

Good Luck DJ. I had a minuscus tear repaired in my knee at Andrews last year and I couldn't have been more pleased. The recovery was short and the people at Andrews wonderful. Will look forward to seeing you back in action soon.

Good luck with your knee! If Dr O'Grady is taking care of you, you are in good hands! My sweetie just finished his PT and is back bowling!
Hugs!

DJ, bon chance! The docs @ Andrews are super - Dr. A did a knee surgery for me several years ago and I had none of the "typical" post-op problems. The docs at GB have all done post-docs with Jim Andrews and I have full confidence in them. The real key, after your surgeon, is doing the rehab - RELIGIOUSLY!!!!

Hi DJ,
We will be anxiously awaiting your return and your great pics. I have to have my elbow scoped in 3 weeks!! Good luck--long walks on the beach will help!

I'm cheering you on, DJ. Maybe we'll see each other in the rehab center. Ask for Nancy, she's da bomb.
