Wild berries

Can someone identify this berry which was growing wild outside Ft. Pickens? As you can see, it is a smooth berry which turns black when ripe; more leggy shrub than vine. It is mildly sweet to taste and only one or two smallish seeds per berry.

And I'm still alive!

Thank you both so much for identifying the berries.

Lou, now that I know what they are I'd be less likely to say 'where's the peanut butter' than 'where's the FOX!' Ha!

I really enjoy these discoveries on the island and appreciate my blog viewers help in IDing them not only for me, but other viewers.

I can't say that I've ever heard of Fox berries but they look delish and the fact that you are still alive gives them great promise for a jelly or jam. I LOVE me some homemade jam, I only wish that I knew how to make it.
