Scarlet Milkweed

Who knew Milkweed could look like this?! Not me. I bought two plants for my new butterfly garden and have been happily surprised to find blooms on them in the middle of November. No doing on my part, of course, but I'll certainly baby them over the winter and next spring so that they will be in prime condition for next year's migration of Monarch butterflies over the area.
