I love the Portulaca (Purslane) I planted in my yard this spring. Its vivid splashes of color against our snow-white sand are beautiful.
The flowers close at night, but open wide during the day. I'm amazed that they do not wilt during the heat of the day despite the high temperatures we've been experiencing. It also appears to be one of the most salt-tolerant plants in my yard.
