Moving forward

"Birth and Death is a grave event;
How transient is life!
Every minute is to be grasped.
Time waits for nobody."

Inscription on a Zen Gong

My father passed away on January 19, 2007. I am back home on the island now and would like to thank each of you who have gone out of your way in the past few months to send me e-mails of support and sympathy.

I'm struggling a bit to get back physically, mentally and emotionally. I have good days, but still more bad ones than I expected. The last nine months have been fearsome. I thought photography would be my refuge when I came home, but for whatever reason I'm having trouble picking up where I left off.

There is certainly no better place to heal the body or soul than on our beautiful island. But as the quote says, every moment is to be grasped, time waits for nobody. I don't want too many more beautiful moments to slip away unrecorded for you.

Thank you again for your support.

Sincerely,

D.J. (Barrier Island Girl)

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father, DJ. I never know the right words to say in a time like this...just know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
