Pensacola Crawfish Festival

Did you make it to the Pensacola Crawfish Festival this weekend? If not, look at what you missed!

Grandpa shows off his platter of crawfish, but this little fella isn't so sure if they are for eatin' or playin'.

Welcome to the festival!

Fish and chips and crabs...

Or a filet of fish and a crab cake...

I think he's carrying about six pounds of crawfish.

Now THIS is more my style...I love the chips.

Activities for the kids are always included...

Hadley J Castille and The Sharecroppers provided Cajun music. The entertainment line-up at Pensacola festivals is always first rate.

First on the dance floor and admired by all.

Joyous, once you move to the Pensacola area, you will find out just how much fun it is. There's always something going on.

Tuesday nights (beginning May 6 with the Navy Band from New Orleans) they offer Bands on the Beach. Throughout the season there will be all types of music/bands at this free concert held at the Pavilion close to the big fishing pier.

Thursday nights during the summer you can drive into Pensacola for Evenings in Olde Seville, another free concert held under huge live oak trees.

On the weekends there will be free concerts out here on the beach, held at the band shell on the Boardwalk.

There's always a festival to enjoy, something to photograph, something to make me smile and remember how lucky I am to live here. I LOVE Pensacola Beach!
