It appears that we are getting more sea oats on the beach. Ones planted after the beach renourishment have struggled due to lack of rain this year, but it appears as though we may be in for a good soaking over the weekend.

I noticed the dunes are gone and the shoreline is flat. Will they be rebuilding the dunes? Years ago, the boys scouts would take discarded Christmas trees after the holidays to the island to help rebuild the dunes when they were destroyed. Will the sea oats help to reestablish the dunes?
I miss the beach so much. I am so thankful for your blog. I can visit the beach daily through your blog. Thank you. Pat
My name is D.J. A few years ago I moved to one of the most beautiful places in the world--Pensacola Beach, Florida. I love exploring the beach, documenting its changes with my photos, volunteering to help our sea turtles, attending concerts on the beach in the summer, and participating in many of the events we have throughout the year. I also enjoy sharing my photographs with you so that you can appreciate the beauty of our very special island.
