Here was one last look and one last shot before a clap of thunder and a bolt of lightning sent me running for cover!

One summer I worked at Papa's Pizza on the Boardwalk. It was then located in what I think now is "go fish"... but there was a bay window facing the sound and I loved sitting there watching the big storms roll in from the west. You could see the sheet of rain coming at you from Pensacola. Love (as long as I'm inside) watching the lighting light up the beach!
One of the most beautiful sights I have witnessed was near Ft Pickens - a storm coming in over the ocean during the afternoon of July 4 a few years ago!
My name is D.J. A few years ago I moved to one of the most beautiful places in the world--Pensacola Beach, Florida. I love exploring the beach, documenting its changes with my photos, volunteering to help our sea turtles, attending concerts on the beach in the summer, and participating in many of the events we have throughout the year. I also enjoy sharing my photographs with you so that you can appreciate the beauty of our very special island.
