There was such a lovely moonrise over the Gulf of Mexico tonight. Layer upon layer of color which my photo gives no justice. The moon looks so much closer than shown here, but my lasso is simply too short to reel it in.

My husband and I sat on the beach that very night and wished we could capture the moon with a photo. However, we are not photographers. It was magnificent. I love your work. We live on PB and adore the special times we have there. Glad youare there, too. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Fran! Aren't the colors magnificent? Unless you're there in person, it's difficult to describe the layer of colors on the horizon which blend from the sky into the sea.
My name is D.J. A few years ago I moved to one of the most beautiful places in the world--Pensacola Beach, Florida. I love exploring the beach, documenting its changes with my photos, volunteering to help our sea turtles, attending concerts on the beach in the summer, and participating in many of the events we have throughout the year. I also enjoy sharing my photographs with you so that you can appreciate the beauty of our very special island.
