I know what you mean about the way some of the sea birds (like gulls) stand on one leg sometimes. Unfortunately that was not the case with this little fellow. He had to hop wherever he went. Did not seem to bother him, though it might affect his diet. It seemed much easier for him to nibble on seaweed than capture a tiny crab.
They often stand on one leg.
