We are still in the process of rebuilding after the hurricanes and tropical storms of 2004 & 2005. The residential areas and much of the commercial core are kicking into gear and rebuilding. We are also in the process of renourishing our beaches. Consequently we are still a bit ragged around the edges, but there is nowhere I'd rather be.
There is so much beauty on our island and that is what I photograph. If you have any questions, please go to my profile and e-mail me. I love this island and I hope you have as wonderful a visit as I experience every day.
Don't forget to visit the Market on the Island, especially around sunset! There is a beautiful view over the marina and across the street. I love to go there every day or so. (And you may get a deal on their black angus steaks by mid-afternoon if you plan to grill).
I am headed for Pcola next week. I love your beach pictures. I can't wait to get there.!!!
